Creative digital group Brandex marks successful start to new insurance focused division

Norwich and London based creative digital group Brandex is marking the new year by reflecting on a successful six months for a new division which focuses on the London insurance market.

Brandex iMarkets has been formed to provide clients with a bespoke service, drawing together the group’s expertise of insurance underwriting, product development, marketing, digital and online software development.

To celebrate a successful first six months Brandex iMarkets hosted a drinks reception for clients before Christmas in the City of London.

The company is headed by managing director Ian Monahan, a former UK marketing and development manager for Tokio Marine Insurance. It has joined associate companies creative digital agency Brand Experience and digital corporate communications consultancy Brandex Insight as part of the Brandex Group.

Julian Steedman, managing director of Brand Experience and chairman of Brandex iMarkets, said: “This is an important strategic development for us and comes after the successful launch of Brandex Insight.

“We work with a wide range of clients in the insurance and financial services sectors including RSA, BIBA, Tokio Marine, Kiln Group, Reich Insurance Brokers, Saffron Building Society and the Managing General Agents’ Association.

“Ian has almost 30 years experience in commercial insurance, including underwriting of corporate accounts, sales and distribution and new product conception and delivery. He has extensive knowledge of the London insurance market and business contacts with all the major broking houses and commercial Insurers.”

Ian Monahan said: “Having worked for many years in commercial account development, I understand the frustrations of many underwriters who do not have the resource or technology to build, expand or distribute effectively their products.

“Our business model we believe is unique, as we not only have the knowledge and experience of the commercial insurance market, but that we can provide a proven resource to research, build, market and distribute for our clients.

“All of these services will be handled within the Brandex group of companies, which negates the time and cost involved of dealing with a number of service providers.”
